Jacob Talbot is a recent first class degree graduate of BA Photography from Leeds Arts University, UK. He is a multidisciplinary artist, manipulating analogue and digital photography, extending into fine art based multi-media pieces. His work has been exhibited at Rotterdam Photo, APS, PhotoGrad and Source. He was shortlisted for the 2021 Signature Art Prize and went on to win the Fine Art Photography Signature Art Prize with his mesmerising piece called “Moment”. Jacob has been published numerous times in the likes of TDSAP and Dwell time. His work encompasses a range of photographic genres exploring both the physical and metaphysical aspects of an image. His most recent body of work ties the lines between fashion and fine art – using synthesized darkroom solarisation to achieve interesting outcomes. Talbot is a studio holder at the renowned Assembly House Leeds and an assistant manager at CreArtives Art school.” In December 2021 – Sponsored by Leeds Arts Council – Jacob held his own Graduate Show in his Studio Gallery titled “An Isolated State” focusing on life through the Pandemic.
