Debbie Lush MA (RCA)
Debbie studied illustration at Harrow School of Art, then a Master’s Degree at the Royal College of Art. She lived and worked as an illustrator in London for 15 years until 2003. She now lives and paints full time in East Devon.

The artist loves the act of brushing blobs of varying thickness of paints on a canvas, one over the other. The work is assembled landscapes based on walks with her dog in the Devon landscape, using coastal and muddy footpaths, through gates, over fields and into woods with farm buildings. Houses and favourite trees act as points of focus to organize the blobs of colour.

Sometimes people may recognise a place but……..as someone told her recently “You are not to be trusted” as she adds things wherever she wants to so as to enhance her compositions.
