David Sykes
David’s work clearly demonstrates his passion for animals and through his natural and unique talent, which captures the character, movement and the fun side of nature in his studies.
David first showed his work in 1987 with animals portrayed through the medium of laminated wood and then cold cast bronzes. These being shown at Linda Blackstone Gallery (London), John Brown Gallery (London), The Mall Galleries (London), Bonhams (London), Nature in Art (Gloucester) and a solo exhibition sponsored by Giorgio Armani (London).
In 1999 David took his creative skills to the Merlin Entertainments Group focused on rolling out The Madame Tussauds, LEGOLAND Parks and LEGO Discovery Centres attractions across the globe, finishing as the Production Delivery Director. After 25 years and a lot of travel David has turned his attention back to concentrating and creating his own work.
David uses any opportunities to support the preservation and protection of animals, and 10% of all his profits go to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). All his pieces are signed limited editions
