Anita Birkenfeld
Anita Birkenfeld
Anita was born in Poland and immigrated with her family to Israel when she was 2 years old.
She came across the art world 15 years ago following a family tragedy where she lost her daughter to a terminal illness.
She became strongly addicted to sculpture, maybe a kind of therapy..…
Before the tragedy she had been working for a fashion designer and “loss and fashion” have become major motifs in her work.
There is a link between the “presence and the absence”.
She has created more than 160 sculptures in clay and has casted these pieces in various materials:
Bronze, Polyester and Epoxy.
She has exhibited in galleries and exhibitions in Israel and around the globe.
We were delighted to welcome Anita for the first time to our Gallery in March 2020 hoping to launch her in the UK at FRESH Cheltenham in April 2020 which has now sadly been postponed.
Prominent exhibitions:
2018- 80th Birthday to Tel Aviv Port
2018- 70th Anniversary of the State of Israel
2017- Agora Gallery New York
2017- Art expo New York
2019 – 12 Florence Biennale, second Prize- International Award “Lorenzo il Magnifico”
