Tom Newhouse’s work brings attention to different modes of living in contemporary lifestyle. His recent film “The Object and You” brings to light the negative impacts of the online world and questions and questions its growing presence in modern culture. Recently “The Object and You” was shortlisted for the 2021 SIGNATURE ART PRIZE.

Currently Tom is working on a project called “365”, in which the artist dedicated 365 early mornings recording the sunrise. The project will consist of 365 oil panel paintings depicting the colour-ways of each morning of the year, and also a documentary film displaying all 365 sunrises and the narrative of the artist’s journey throughout the year.
