“Primarily working in oils, I strive to achieve a high level of realism while preserving a painterly quality. As a predominantly self-taught artist, my journey has been shaped by years of dedicated practice, painting almost daily. This passion took root when my family moved to France when I was 14, and I spent my formative years in the suburbs of Paris, Bougival, a town nenowned as “The Cradle of Impressionism”. Surrounded by the same landscapes that inspired the Impressionist masters, I developed a deep appreciation of nature, which continues to be my greatest teacher. It constantly offers new ways to observe and interpret life, an inspiration I seek to translate onto the canvas. I am drawn to subjects that tell a story, captivate the eye, and evoke emotion.
In 2024 the artist was elected a full member of the Royal Society of British Artists (RBA) and has exhibited widely and has won many awards.
