Rosalinds\' love of pottery derives from an empathy with the creative elements of design. Her primary pot shape was developed after a period of trial and error during her time at Liverpool Hope University. Some people perceive her work as having a similarity with the rings of Saturn and Venus. Whilst she sees the resemblance she says that the \'reality was more aesthetic than planetary. \' Although the basic shape remains constant, she \'enjoys the subtle variances of colour and form which makes each pot unique. \'

The artist uses a smooth bodied earthstone clay which is \'fired to biscuit\' and the glaze firing at 1050/degrees centigrade. The glaze is \'particularly fussy\' and often requires two or three firings to intensify the colour As the glaze is Barium based none of Rosalind\'s pieces are food safe.
